Wild Animals

We visited the zoo today with my parents and our niece and nephew.  It was a great day for it-- not too crowded, not too hot, lots of fun!

After our last rained out attempt, we were able to exchange our tickets for another game.  It was hot and humid, but we had a good time!

To Houston, and back again

 This picture has nothing to do with traveling to Houston, I just love it.  My sister went to Burkina Faso with her husband, and there they got to meet up with a dear friend of ours.  Makes my heart happy!

 

On the way to Houston, we stopped for a day to visit John's great aunt and uncle and their son.

 

 

 Our visit in Houston was filled with all the regular activities....

 

 

 

 

On the way back, we stopped for a day to visit my best friends from college.  It was kind of amazing how well it worked out.  

 Obviously, these are not my friends from college.  But our kids are cute, aren't they???

Memorial Day Weekend

We got to spend the weekend taking care of this little man.  

 He's such a doll!

  Eden got to practice her mad guitar skills.

We were able to swing over and see these special people for an afternoon too!

The Kids' First....

BASEBALL GAME!!!

 Here we all are, so cute in our Bedlam gear (well, some of us) eagerly awaiting the start of the kids' first baseball game.

 This was not a good sign...

Before even starting, they went into a rain delay which lasted two and half hours.  Of course the game was eventually cancelled.  Not one inning of baseball!
